2025 Hook-A-Heart Special Needs Fishing Derby
The Hook-A-Heart Foundation is a non-profit organization that hosts an annual special needs fishing derby, providing children and adults with disabilities the opportunity to enjoy a fun and inclusive outdoor experience. We supply fishing gear, bait, and swag for all participants!

About the event
Our event is intended for individuals with cognitive, physical, and/or mental disabilities. We provide bait, fishing pole, and tacklebox for each participant. Family members are invited to bring their own bait and fishing supplies to fish with the participant. Lunch will be at noon and is available for the entire family. We will also have refreshments throughout the event for everyone. We will have some EZ Ups set up around the lake for some shade. Feel free to bring umbrellas or other items for shade. We recommend bringing chairs or blankets to sit on during the fishing portion.
